Scoping out our projects

It took one nights sleep before we decided what to tackle first in the house. Aside from a fresh coat of paint and some plaster repairs, we decided we would re-do the entire kitchen. Of course, we weren't expecting to do as much as we are now... "from the floor up" takes a whole new meaning, when you rip up the floor! We planned to take out most of the weight baring center wall to open up the living room and kitchen area. In doing so, we removed the horrid orange paneling. This prompted pulling the old cabinets off and getting new ones... then pulling up the linolium flooring to reveal MORE flooring... needless to say, this is going farther than expected. But in the end, it'll be worth having a nice fresh start. I'll post a new topic blog for each project and provide some nice new pics!
